About Ninja 1000

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is a super bike available at a starting price of Rs. 11,40,000 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 2 colours. The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is powered by 1043cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 140.13 bhp and a torque of 111 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Kawasaki Ninja 1000 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Ninja 1000 bike weighs 238 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 19 liters.

India Kawasaki Motors has launched the 2022 Ninja 1000SX in our market. The 2022 iteration of the litre-class sports tourer is available in two colours – Emerald Blazed Green and Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray.

The changes to the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX are limited to cosmetic upgrades in the form of new paint options. The mechanical specifications and the feature list, on the other hand, remain unchanged. Thus, the 2022 model retains features such as LED lighting and a 4.3-inch TFT colour instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The electronic rider aids continue to feature ABS, cruise control, riding modes (Sport/ Road/ Rain/ Rider), three-level traction control, power modes (Full/Low), quick-shifter, and Kawasaki Cornering Management Function.

The mechanical specifications, too, remain unchanged and the 2022 Ninja 1000SX retains the BS6-compliant 1,043cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 140bhp of power at 10,000rpm and 111Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The hardware on the motorcycle comprises upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, twin discs at the front, and a single rotor at the back.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Expert Opinion

  • Good Things

    • The 1000cc engine offers outstanding performance
    • Comfortable for long distances
    • Overall ergonomics is very comfortable
  • Could be Better

    • Is slightly heavy for city riding
    • Service reach is limited

BikeWale's Take

The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 might have the aggressive sportsbike looks but it is equally comfortable to ride. The 1043cc in-line four motor is refined enough for peaceful long rides while it packs in ample performance for the adrenaline rush.
